Day 36 - Millennium Park

The overnight rain passed so we walked to Millennium Park which runs from Michigan Avenue across to Lake Michigan. Anita eyed off alternative transport but common sense prevailed.

The Cloud Gate sculpture in the park was so named because 80% of its highly polished stainless steel surface reflects the clouds. It is better known as the Chicago Bean.

As we approached the Bean we caught this image through the trees which is the reflection of the city at one end of the Bean.

The raised walkway leading to the Museum of Modern Art provided a good view of the city buildings.

This police K9 dog statue is outside a cafe in the park.
